  Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects people from all walks of life. It is quite common, many people are affected and if you have recently been diagnosed you are not alone, Fight Parkinson’s is here to support you.

  Although classified as a movement disorder, it can affect people in different ways. Sometimes the emotional changes can be more troublesome than the motor changes, and can have a bigger impact on the day-to-day life of someone living with Parkinson’s.

  It is important for people living with Parkinson’s to be proactive in the management of their condition. However, they do not have to face this challenge alone.

Put on a party for Parkinson’s this April

What if you could bake, serve or pour more awareness about Parkinson’s into the community around you?

This April, why not throw a Party for Parkinson’s at your peer support group, home, office or social/sporting club?

Invite everyone you know, ask them to bring something to share and make a donation.

Be creative! Organise some donated prizes for a raffle or silent auction. What about a progressive dinner? Our free Party for Parkinson’s kit provides a range of fun ideas and helpful hints to maximise your fundraising event.

All funds raised will go directly to Fight Parkinson’s’s research program, funding Australian and international research that supports the development of more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Parkinson’s.
